State Sen. Andy Vidak, R-Hanford, introduced a water bond proposal Thursday to appear on the November ballot.

The bill, co-authored by state Sen. Anthony Cannella, R-Ceres, includes $3 billion for new storage projects, $2.5 billion in Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta improvements and $1 billion for clean drinking water projects.

“We have to create water storage, clean water and we have to have conveyance,” Vidak said during remarks on the Senate floor.
