FARMER ANDY VIDAK ENDORSED FOR RE-ELECTION BY KERN AND KINGS COUNTY FARM BUREAUS
Kern’s Endorsement Historic – First Time Organization Has Endorsed Any Candidate

HANFORD – Farmer and small business owner Andy Vidak said today that both the Kings County and Kern County Farm Bureaus have endorsed him for re-election to the 14th State Senate District.

“For over twenty years, Kern County Farm Bureau has stayed neutral in all political campaigns,” said Executive Director Beatris Sanders. “But this election is too important. We are thrilled to lend our name for the first time this election year to Andy Vidak because of his support for agriculture on key issues important to Kern County farmers and ranchers. Andy understands how California’s historic drought has devastated our industry. He demonstrated true leadership by leading the fight to secure a real water bond that has the water storage we need. Andy Vidak will continue to fight for us – he’s clearly the best choice in this election.”

“Andy’s one of us – he lives here and runs his cherry farm right here in Hanford,” said Kings County Farm Bureau President Dino Giacomazzi. “Andy’s kept his promises in the short time he’s been in office and that’s critical – especially on the water bond. There have never been funds specifically allocated to new water storage in a statewide bond, and $2.7 billion is the largest investment in water infrastructure in decades. Andy knew that was critical, and he brought Democrats and Republicans together to negotiate a solution. We need him in Sacramento.”
